Mentored and raised by the local Blues community, Lloyd Spiegel began performing at age 10 and has dedicated his life to creating a signature style that honours the traditions of the music he loves, while creating a link in the chain of its evolution.
That dedication has seen him become one of this country’s most celebrated guitarists and a trailblazer for Australian Blues.
With 10 albums, 14 Australian Blues Awards, 25 Victorian Blues Awards and a near non-stop tour schedule, Spiegel performs over one hundred shows a year on theatre stages and major festivals across the world.
Driven by a strong belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to make music, Lloyd is a highly active member of the greater music community, creating a musical instrument donation program for local schools, volunteering weekly at an all abilities choir, serving as ambassador to Blues Music Victoria and Make Music Australia.
